Steady Leadership
Elected Experience: I have served as your Mayor since 2014, before that I was a City Councilmember from 2004-2013. I also chaired the Snohomish County Charter Review Commission in 2016.
Other Professional Experience: I own a small business serving students and teachers in our schools. I believe small businesses are the backbone of our community and a pathway to the middle class.
Education: I earned my Master’s in Urban Planning from the UW, and my Bachelor’s from New York University, and I am a proud Kamiak High School graduate!
Community Service: Honored to serve the most vulnerable among us as a Boardmember at Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County; former Lighthouse Festival President; Mukilteo Farmers Market volunteer. Appointed as city representative to statewide Shoreline Hearings Board to protect critical habitat for future generations.
More About JenniferWe have kept a strict eye on city expenses- cutting the Mayor's Office budget by 11% over seven years. We have kept your taxes low, continued reinvesting in public safety and most importantly, kept my promises to Mukilteo.
Mukilteo is a strong community, where we support diversity and inclusiveness in our community. Our first responders ensure residents are safe in our homes and neighborhoods. We make sure Mukilteo connects our neighborhoods and is a great place to live.
Our vision for Mukilteo means that we will budget efficiently and effectively to align with our priorities; we plan well and look forward to the future in decision making. As we look to the future, we manage appropriate growth that minimizes environmental impact and uses land efficiently while improving accessibility and mobility to destinations throughout our community.
